The Undateables 2017: Episode 2 Roundup (in which we meet Eddie, Lily & Pani)

The Undateables is back with a brand new series for 2017, and more big-hearted hopefuls looking to find their perfect match.

Missed the first episode? Catch up with Ian, Sam and Kate as they attempt to find love.

INTRODUCING EDDIE - THE TALENTED MUSICIAN, ARTIST AND ALL-ROUND CREATIVE IN SEARCH OF A SOUL MATE

"I want to move into a home. I want to paint the walls. I want to have a laugh. I want to get paint on each other. I want to have kids. I  want it now."

24-year-old Eddie might be clear on what he hopes to come of a date, but there's one thing holding him back. His autism means he suffers extreme anxiety around new people, and despite having met girls in the past, romance has failed to flourish.

Fortunately, his 25-year-old date, Cassie, who has a learning disability, was the picture of patience as Eddie grappled with his nerves. And after a quick trip to the loo to get his head straight, he was back with a joke that Cassie couldn't fail to be won over by.

"Two people came into mischief. The police came. One was called fireworks and the other one was called battery. One was let off and the other was charged."

The pair held hands around the Aquarium, and agreed to meet at the zoo for date number two...

INTRODUCING LILY - WHO WANTS THE CREEPIEST DATE IMAGINABLE

Like any 18-year-old, Lily wants a date who'll make her laugh, show her a fun time, and take good care of her. Unlike most 18-year-olds, Lily, who has Williams Syndrome,  also stipulates that her date share a passion for the supernatural, and be fearless in the face of ghosts and ghouls.

Would Josh be the man for the job? The 22-year-old, who also has a learning disability, certainly talked the talk - sharing his plan to sneak an arm around his date, should fear overwhelm her during their tour of a haunted house. But it was Lily who came to the rescue, safely steering a "petrified" Josh out of harm's way when a ghoul made its presence felt in the cellar.

Thankfully, Josh's shaky encounter with the spirit world didn't signal the end for this fledging romance - he and Lily have swapped numbers and agreed to meet up again.

INTRODUCING PANI - THE PARALYMPIC HOPEFUL WHO FEARS REJECTION

Born with Achondroplasia -  form of dwarfism, four foot seven Pani worries that his height will put off girls, and as such he's never invited anyone out one a date.

As one of the country's top javelin throwers, he hopes to compete in the Rio Games. But he's another burning ambition - to find a woman who'll be every bit as much the traditional romantic as he is.

Flame Introductions' Christine was on hand to deliver the good news that a date had been found, and an emotional Pani agreed to meet for a drink with sporty 21-year-old Ellen.

A successful meet-up later, and Pani's confidence was sky high. "I feel unstoppable!" he said.
