• Terminally ill Mum pays to inscribe daughter's wedding shoes

Dying Mum sends a secret message to daughter for her wedding day

Grab a tissue, because what follows is a story that's bound to make you want to blub.

When a UK mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer just a few weeks after her daughter became engaged to be married, she naturally hoped she'd be able to make it to see her daughter walk down the aisle.

Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be, and Mum passed away before she could see her little girl say 'I do'.

But she was still determined to be a part of the big day, and organised something special to make sure her baby has her Mum at her wedding in some form.

This is what the bride wrote on Facebook: "I have to share this amazing story with you all... so I have been engaged since December 2016, our wedding is on the 1st August 2019.
I have been in love with Lace&love shoes for years and I purchased my package shortly after getting engaged. Around the same time my mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

"Sadly my mum past away around 17 months ago. It's been so hard planning a wedding without having her with me and I have had lots of tears! I received my finished shoes at the weekend and had a massive surprise. I turned my shoes over to see a message from my mum!! When my mum was informed she did not have long left. She had contacted the amazing Amanda at Lace&love and secretly paid for my shoes and requested a message placed on them for me! It was kept secret from me until I opened the box."

What a truly special mum. Emma, we wish you and your fiancé all the very best of luck and all the happiness in the world for your August wedding and the rest of your lives together.
